The problem
In a guesthouse, hot water is used in waves: in the morning, every room at once. The previous system could not keep up, and guests ran out of hot water at peak times.
The challenge
It had to cover both the heating demand of the building and hot water use concentrated into two hours a day, without oversizing the pump for the rest of the day.
The solution
A 16 kW three-phase unit with a 300-litre cylinder. The cylinder stores heat overnight, on the cheaper tariff, and covers the morning peak without the pump running flat out.
